The fifth and final Forces of Destiny one-shot published in January 2018 stars sisters Rose and Page Tico. The story in this comic is not based on any of the Forces of Destiny animated shorts, although Rose does appear later in season 2, episode 3's Shuttle Shock alongside Finn. This comic was no doubt conceived to coincide with the release of The Last Jedi a month earlier which introduces Rose, a Resistance mechanic, and Paige, a Resistance pilot. The story in the comic take place before the movie, shortly after the Resistance sets up a base on D'Qar. General Leia Organa is looking for a way to scout the natural resource of D'Qar without burning fuel using conventional vehicles. Rose Tico whispers to her older sister, Paige, that she has an idea and Paige volunteers Rose. Rose tells Leia she can build wheeled vehicles that can run on rechargeable batteries and Leia tells Rose to pursue the idea. Under scrutiny from other Resistance members and doubting her own abilities, Rose successfully builds the vehicles while her older sister Paige urges her on. Rose and Paige take the vehicles out for a test run and find a cave that can serve as a hangar as well as a river with clean water. As they drive around more, Paige's vehicle is unable to stop and Paige disappears in the thick jungle. Rose, again doubting herself, is unable to contact the Resistance base and sets out on foot to find Paige. She befriends and enlists the aid of large native birds she calls Squonks and together they find Paige's crashed vehicle. She rescues Paige from a ravine and learns that durasteel ore located in the ravine, is why she was unsuccessful in contacting the base. Rose and Paige return to the base in Rose's vehicle carrying a large chunk of the ore. At the base, Leia tells Rose her mission was a success and her vehicles will be a great asset to the Resistance.
The retailer incentive is a wrap-around animated variant which was initially released in a 1:10 ratio.
