The Marvel Illustrated Books Star Wars was published in France by Dynamisme Presse Edition in 1981 as La Guerre Des Etoiles. The paperback is the same size as the U.S. paperback.

The front and back covers have the same art as the U.S. edition. The coloring on the French edition is noticeably darker and the Princess Leia scene is now colored instead of using just the line art from the U.S. edition.
